A request! Taped on April 4 in Buffalo, aired on Hardcore TV a few days later. As usual, listing the TV date for the great SEO on this WordPress blog in case people are searching for the match by that.

Bigelow is defending the TV title, which he’d won from Taz at Living Dangerously on March 1 in Asbury Park, arguably the biggest singles match win of Bigelow’s career. I know he’d beaten Shane Douglas for the ECW “world” title in late ’97, but honestly, Taz as TV champion by March ’98 was just stronger and on a bigger run than Shane Douglas as “world” champ in October ’97.

I used to have this show on DVD; it was right before I started being able to buy PPVs monthly, so I didn’t see it live. I sold that DVD at some point. Now, as I am older and back to collecting DVDs, I kinda wish I had it, even if I haven’t really beefed up my wrestling DVD collection, because it’s an expensive habit to catch up over so many years. This is a request via Ko-fi. I probably haven’t watched this match since 2003. It’s Team Austin (Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, Booker T & The Dudley Boyz) facing Team Bischoff (Chris Jericho, Christian, Randy Orton, Mark Henry & Scott Steiner), with sole control of RAW as General Manager on the line for Steve Austin and Eric Bischoff. It’s a traditional Survivor Series elimination match.

Eddie Guerrero vs Rob Van Dam (WWE, 5-27-2002)

WWE RAW, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

This is a request via Ko-fi. It’s a ladder match and Guerrero’s Intercontinental title is on the line. Guerrero had made his return to the WWF (which had just changed to WWE by this match) in April 2002 and won the Intercontinental title from Van Dam.
