Did you know CZW is back? I only recently realized this when I did that AR Fox vs Uhaa Nation review, but apparently the company is now owned by DJ Hyde and someone called Steve Karel, which I can only assume is Steve Carell under a pseudonym, and they’ve co-owned the company since 2019 (!). CZW didn’t run between March 2020 and October 2021, which is understandable for various reasons, but they’ve been BACK, almost exclusively running in Blackwood, NJ, and Havre de Grace, MD.

Hey, where are Justin and Travis McCoy hahahahahahahahahaha ahhhh. ahh. that wasn’t funny but they haven’t been funny in years either, so.

A request! You can do a request if you want. I’ve definitely never seen this match, and I am intrigued by it, mainly that someone wanted me to watch it and get my thoughts, I guess. But also because Uhaa/Apollo Crews has long been an intriguing wrestler to me.

Request via Ko-fi. It is the Cage of Death. Two nerds (Robbie Marino and Dennis Shock) have a little shoving match, as Shock is returning to take over ring announcing duties. Zandig does some yelling.

Justice Pain vs CM Punk (CZW, 9-14-2002)

CZW Ultraviolent Freedom of Expression, Philadelphia, PA

This is a mildly noteworthy match in that it’s the only match CM Punk ever worked in CZW, having built a little notoriety in IWA Mid-South as a rising star. He was unhappy with how it turned out, didn’t get along with Zandig, and complained pretty pointedly in a 2004-ish (I think) shoot interview.

This is a request via Ko-fi. It comes a couple weeks after XPW went to the former ECW Arena for the first time, which I just talked about a bunch, and a month and a half or so after The Messiah was attacked in his home for real in real life, getting his thumb cut off, with most people thinking XPW owner Rob Black was behind it for Messiah doinking his wife.

This is a first-time ever singles match between these two. They’ve been in the ring together once before, at the 2017 WrestleCon SuperShow on opposite sides of a 10-man tag. This is my final Ospreay match of WrestleMania weekend, I think, after his killer with Matt Riddle, a real good one with AR Fox, and a four-way at the WrestleCon Supershow.
