A request! This episode is LIVE! It’s the “first-year anniversary” of Raw. This all came together over a few weeks where Johnny Polo beat Marty Jannetty with help from the Quebecers, and then Marty and the Kid called out the Quebecers for their WWF belts.

In a pre-match promo at the top of the show, Johnny Polo calls them “Marty Confetti and the poster boy for Pampers.” The Quebecers are very confident. Jacques calls them “a tune-up match” for Bret and Owen Hart at the Rumble on Jan. 22.

REVIEW: Impact x NJPW Multiverse United (3-30-2023)

I really wish people would stop saying “Multiverse.” But they’re not gonna!

Now we turn our attention to the glorious histories of these two fine companies, Total Nonstop Action and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. What wonders will we see? What matches where NJPW guys go somewhere between 40 and 72 percent?

Anyway, I missed the X Division scramble opener, which I’m sure was exciting and not about weight limits but no limits, but here we are.

This is a request via Ko-fi. Jean-Pierre Lafitte, as he was known in this period, is now a hot indie property in 2018 at the age of 50, back working as Pierre Carl Ouellet. I talked about his BLP match with Ethan Page, which helped get him back into the scene this year, and of course his wild brawl with WALTER during Mania weekend.
