The Undertaker vs Tajiri (WWF, 12-27-2001)

WWE Smackdown, Orlando, FL

This is a request via Ko-fi. Undertaker is hardcore champion and that title is on the line here in our post-WWF vs Alliance world.

KEEP ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN

The Undertaker is here on his motorbicycle. UNDERTAKER.COM. Tajiri is fearless in the ring, ready to fight. Well, maybe some fear. Anyway, Tajiri has Torrie Wilson in his corner.

Taker starts fast, tossing Tajiri to the corner and kneeing him. Taker looks down at Wilson, Tajiri’s Girlfriend. Tajiri whipped to the other side, but he gets a boot up, and then lands a few kicks to the midsection and legs, mixing in some quick punches.

Taker grabs him by the throat and throws him into the corner, then back elbows him. Tajiri down and on the apron. Taker reaches down to pick him up, but Tajiri kicks him in the ear and lands a missile dropkick for two.

Tajiri Claus had recently defeated Mr. McMahon’s Santa Claus, Bubba Ray Dudley, three days ago on RAW. Very important.

Tajiri’s whip to the corner is reversed, but he leaps over Taker and goes for the tarantula, but Taker is too big and old, fuck that. Hey, did you know that on the internet, dudes were calling for Undertaker to retire forever in, like, 1999-2000?

Fight goes to the outside and Taker his Tajiri with a trash can. Tajiri sent crashing into a steel chair, and now Taker dismantles the commentary desk. Taker gets a chair and jabs it into the head and ribs of Tajiri. THIS SICK, SADISTIC UNDERTAKER!

Undertaker sets for a Last Ride through the table, but Tajiri mists him on the way up! Tajiri with a couple of kicks, and Tajiri gets a trash can from under the ring, popping Taker in the head twice! TAJIRI HAS A CHAN–never mind, Undertaker just punches him in the face and kneelifts him.

Tajiri back into the ring, where he hits a baseball slide dropkick on Taker as Taker tries to climb back into the ring. Tajiri off the apron but gets caught in mid-air and smashed into the ring post. Taker with big ol SOUPBONE right hands. Torrie Wilson is upset. She is Tajiri’s Girlfriend.

Back into the ring, Taker picks Tajiri up and rams him into the turnbuckles, then leaves him in the TREEAWOE! Taker with a shot to the breadbasket, then chokes Tajiri with a tshirt or whaever that is. Punch to the back of the head. Tajiri falls out of the TREEAWOE!

Wilson running around outside. You can understand why, since Undertaker looking like this keeps giving her the eye:

The Undertaker is the most vicious hardcore champion they’ve ever had here, says Michael Cole.

Anyway, Undertaker with a chokeslam, Tajiri’s done, but Taker pulls him up at two because he’s mean! Taker with a dragon sleeper. “Some sort of submission hold!” Listen, Cole, even I know what it’s called. The bell rings, the match is over, but Taker won’t let go. Tajiri’s limp. Wilson pleading with Underaker.

Finally, Big Show comes down talking shit about Undertaker messing with someone smaller than him. Undertaker calmly leaves the ring to avoid that confrontation, as Big Show is not Tajiri or a Hardy Boy.

Rating: 3/5. Fun six-minute TV match. Undertaker’s AH WONT RISPECT period was decent, if a little ham-fisted, but then it is WWE, and it is wrestling in general, so what can you expect? Tajiri played valiant underdog well and Taker punished him for it. The Big Show non-confrontation at the end worked.
