WWF Survivor Series, Richfield, OH

This is a nightstick match, with a nightstick on a pole. Whoever gets it can use it.

The match starts with Nailz coming to the ring during Boss Man’s backstage promo, and Boss Man sprints to the ring without his music to make sure Nailz doesn’t get the stick first.

Boss Man’s whip to the corner reversed, and he hits hard, selling his back immediately and going down. Nailz with a choke and a bunch of right hands and another choke. Nailz tries to climb, Boss Man yanks him down. The pole is mad tall.

Nailz with some jabs and a right hand in the corner. Boss Man gets his feet up in the corner on a charge. Right hand from Boss Man, right hand again after he ducks a kick. Boss Man climbing as Vince doubts that any innocent man could ever be wrongfully convicted of a crime.

Boss Man nearly has the stick, but Nailz slams him off the top. Huge bump for the big fella. Side backbreaker from Nailz, then another choke. Nailz with a chinlock.

Out of that, Boss Man with a shoulderblock, then he hits the ropes and dives for a splash, but misses. Heenan and McMahon try to make jokes and, well, not their best work. Nailz climbing again, but Boss Man grabs the ankle and crotches him on the top rope.

Both men down and the count is on. Boss Man sits up, Nailz climbs to his feet using the ropes. Kneelift from Nailz. Boss Man off the ropes, but he hits a clothesline and they’re both down again, though only for a moment.

Boss Man climbing again. He gets the stick, it won’t come down, but then it does. Two nightstick shots! Everyone is thrilled watching this police man beat the ex-con! Nailz knocks the stick free and has it himself, and he delivers some punishment of his own, a shot to the jaw and one across the back.

Nailz stands over Boss Man with the stick in his control. Nailz swings, misses, Boss Man right hand, off the ropes, BOSS MAN SLAM, three count.

Rating: 2/5. Short and sweet, basically. Well, not sweet. It’s a pretty ugly brawl, but it’s a flat-out brawl, and in that sense I admire what they did. They didn’t fuck around wrestling and wasting much time. They were going after the stick from before the bell and everything about it was nasty. Nailz was a clumsy, ugly wrestler, but he could convincingly portray that he hated Boss Man’s guts and wanted to hurt him. Boss Man, on the other hand, is basically just fighting the guy off.
