The Undertaker vs Jimmy Snuka (WWF, 3-24-1991)

Event: WWF WrestleMania VII, Los Angeles, CA

Undertaker’s WrestleMania debut in 1991, against the legendary Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, a probable murderer.

Undertaker scares all the kids on his way to the ring. Snuka, wearing boots (very rare), turns his back on Taker and gets jumped from behind.

Undertaker with those old throat thrusts in the corner, then rams Snuka’s head into the top turnbuckle. Choking. Taker hits his jumping clothesline, which was really more of a jumping touch with the hand.

More choking. Suplex from the apron back into the ring. Very deliberate pace from Undertaker, methodical. Taker misses an elbowdrop. Snuka fights back with right hands, headbutts, palm thrusts, chops, anything he can throw at this guy, but he’s not budging him.

Taker misses a clothesline, then ducks Snuka going for a crossbody, with Jimmy crashing into the ropes and falling to the floor.

Snuka comes back in going for a springboard crossbody, but he gets caught — kinda. Undertaker hits the tombstone. That’s that.

Rating: 1.5/5. It’s useful in continuing to develop the aura of the Undertaker early in his WWF career, but that’s about it other than it being the start of The Streak.
