I turned this on the TV tonight and decided I wanted to talk about it. I also tuned in about 24 minutes late so whatever happened in the first 24 minutes, I don’t know. Mercedes Mone ran off Julia Hart or something when I turned it on. Then Samoa Joe did a sit-down interview with Renee. It was good!

HERE WE GO! From Toronto! This door is so mother fucking forbidden, bro! I’m fired up! AEW is hot right now! In a couple weeks if a show or three is a little lackluster I’ll say it’s cold! And then if they have a couple good ones I’ll say they’re back! That is how I do!

REVIEW: NJPW Declaration of Power (10-10-2022)

Now for more wrestling! I will not be watching the tag matches on the undercard. I’m trying to enjoy doing this, not be a sicko pervert.

Kazuchika Okada vs Hirooki Goto (NJPW, 10-1-2021)

NJPW G1 Climax 31, Hamamatsu, Japan

This is the first time these two NJPW stalwarts have met in a singles match in five years, I am told! Okada has six points, Goto has none.

Kazuchika Okada vs YOSHI-HASHI (NJPW, 9-29-2021)

NJPW G1 Climax 31, Tokyo, Japan

Okada comes in 2-0, beating Hiroshi Tanahashi and EVIL, with YOSHI-HASHI 0-2, losing to EVIL and Jeff Cobb, though he gave Cobb a great run in particular.

Kazuchika Okada vs EVIL (NJPW, 9-24-2021)

NJPW G1 Climax 31, Tokyo, Japan

Both won their opening matches in the tournament, Okada beating Tanahashi, EVIL beating YOSHI-HASHI. The winner of this one will join Taichi and Jeff Cobb atop the block with four points. Or they could go to a 30-minute draw, I guess. I’d rather they did not.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Kazuchika Okada (NJPW, 9-19-2021)

NJPW G1 Climax 31, Osaka, Japan

The main event of this show, as it should be. No reason to explain why, everyone knows. Dating back to 2010, Okada is 6-5-3 against Tanahashi all-time, with their four G1 matches going to three time limit draws and one Okada win.

Kazuchika Okada vs Dalton Castle (ROH, 8-19-2016)

ROH Death Before Dishonor XIV, Las Vegas, NV

Request via Ko-fi. The ancient days of Ring of Honor being pretty consistently propped by up NJPW talent, also the peak career period for Dalton Castle, who went from indie lad to silly Chikara lad to silly ROH lad to top ROH star because he was just that good and people liked him. Injuries taking the toll they have on him is the pits, he rules, but I tell you what, last I saw of him in 2020 he was still good, just obviously working a slightly different style. Silas Young went through the same thing with his knees and it changed him greatly, but he’s hung around having a strong career.

Kazuchika Okada vs Kota Ibushi (NJPW, 1-4-2020)

NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14, Tokyo, Japan

Another request. I watched this live but seriously barely remember it, as it happened nine years ago in January. Okada’s IWGP title is on the line against the 2019 G1 Climax winner Ibushi, the match cheapened because NJPW went to the stupid two-day gimmick and decided to unify the winner of this with the winner of the first night’s IC title match (which wound up being Naito) on night two. Yeah, I said it. Cheapened, and stupid.
