This is the second-ever Money in the Bank ladder match, and like pretty much all modern recurring WWE concepts such as this, the idea peaked with the first one (Hell in a Cell, Elimination Chamber), but you can still have great matches even if they don’t really ever top the novelty of seeing it all the first time.

This is a request via Ko-fi. I’ve never seen this match! It’s for Cena’s WWE championship in the main event of this show. It’s sold as a matchup of two young bulls between the 30-year-old Cena and 31-year-old Lashley. The pre-match promo has the likes of Steve Austin, Batista, Ric Flair, Mick Foley, and JBL talking up the matchup. This is real big match stuff.
